sigh. I began working on this weeks ago, but i couldnt finish before college started. now I have to submit it with such a plain background cuz I don't have time D: I was planning on drawing mini Black Hayates in the back to make this a happy silly picture =_=I'm trying cell shading. I like the crisp cleaness. It's nice o_o. I'm a RxR fan (yea, I like canon xD)
I feel like there's some proportion issues but blah whatever, I barely have time to draw now dammit D:

I love it. It'd almost be nice though, instead of the black/white squibblies, to maybe do a collage of the two from the anime or something. Just a suggestion, since you said 'it was still plain'. Love your work~ <3

That's a really hard pose to draw- believe me, I've tried. You pulled it off well- too well, in fact. Skill like this makes my pictures look like a four year old's crayon scribbles. 
Shading looks spiffy- I always have trouble deciding where to put shadows, and in the end I always wind up adding too much of them. The way you use them is more consevative and makes the picture look a lot better.

Squee! I love RxR too! Such a strange couple too! XD Anyways awesome coloring! You said some of the proportions felt strange? Well, the only thing I can pick up is that Roy's right hand seems off. The fingers look too small and thin. Great pic though! ^-^
