Oh, is this about it being added to the True Nitromians group? I believe someone added this to the Pixel Love categoryΒ in the True Nitromians group. (Pixel Love was an event that happened every week where Nitrome feature a pixel game on their blog.) There are a few more works in that folder, so I'm not sure why this is the first time you've seen a non-Nitrome work make it into your notifications unless they were already there before you joined.

Thanks to you I knew about this great game (today) and I enjoyed a lot playing it, it felt like the old times when I used to play retro video-games all day. It was easy until the last part, which took me a variety of lives, but could finally end it. I wish there have been like an ending scene where we could see the protagonist out of the cave-valley, but oh well.
And now I want to say that your drawing is very cool, now I understand what it represents! I really like it
