i worked it out myself, thanks anyway x
the only thing i am kind of confused about is why the backgrounds cover my picture and username on widgets, it seems kind of confusing. it should be easier to understand, i think.

You can only use backgrounds on custom box widgets. If you try to use them on your favorites or deviantID, they won't work! It sucks, I know XD
