2B, 4B and 6B pencils.I'm really into reading, so this is based on the idea that characters/events in books can seem just as real as reality except they're so much better.

Well, I've been uploading to deviantart for about 4 weeks, but I have been drawing for a bit longer. The last time I did a really in depth drawing was a while ago. Recently I have mostly just done quick little 2-3 hour drawings. I haven't taken many classes, but I'm thinking of taking a couple in the future. I really appreciate you offering me some tips. Hugs!

Lessons are a good idea to get some techniques! And I'll recommend www.ctrlpaint.com for some short free lessons. It goes from basic things to pretty advanced stuffΒ

the text flowing up into the body of the dragon is lovely, particularly this is visible on his wing. It's a nice touch. Darkening the areas of shadow a little bit with a 6B drawing pencil might bring out the image just a bit.

the contrast didn't show well because it was too big to scan and i had to take a photo instead. the actual drawing has a bit more contrast, but still not enough I think so I'm adding more. thanks for the feedback!

Have you tried manipulating the contrast in a photo editor of any kind, at least to get the original accurately?
