Wanted to try a different accessory on Harlie! No worries if you miss his bandanna tho, I'll still be drawing him with it sometimes but I thought it'd be fun to mix things up 'D

The bright blue wyngro sifted through each of the boxes beside him, taking a moment to look at all the contents with a careful eye. With the baby hatching soon, Harlie wanted to look through some old possessions of the family to search for something or another that he'd be able to hand down, whether it be a toy or some cool clothing. Looking through, a gleam of amber caught his eye. He turned to this particular box, lifting from it a chain followed by strung pearls and three shiny crystal-like pendents. He rubbed the crystals of the necklace with his fingers, watching the light shift inside of them before clasping it in his hand and quietly slinking down the stairs and knocking on the door of his mother's room.

"Hey 'Ma, can I... keep this necklace thing here?" he asked, knowing that most of the jewelry in the home was from 'Ma. She turned around with an open mouth, looking ready to simply say yes before looking down at the shimmering necklace.

A solemn look fell upon Colla's face as she watched the necklace turn in the light. "T'was your father's. Hehh.. he gave that to me when we had only just started dating. Said he won it in a squabble with another over a bet- quite the trouble maker when he was your age," she explained with a chuckle.

"What do you mean? Whenever dad was around he was like... the nicest person," Harlie wondered, not understanding where 'Ma was coming from.

Colla cackled. "Ohhh my, you really didn't know your father, huh? Heheh... well, I guess I can change that a bit. Back before you and your sister were born, Cyrid and I were quite the trouble makin' pair. We met during a wind magic lesson that one of my friends was holdin'. To say the least- we hit it off and clicked almost immediately. Your dad was 'a huge wing-dingus jerk'. His words, not mine. He was eventually sent off to a guard school since his parents couldn't stand the fact that he was starting to be known as one of the top trouble makers of Wynsiph, which as you know had definitely rounded him off and diluted him," she explained in detail. Harlie looked shocked, confounded by the new information about his father.

"So... I got the trouble-maker-genetics from dad? Hah... that's kinda cool. A bit sad that I don't see him as much. Maybe when I see him next I can ask him about that if I can actually get it outta him. But uhh... thanks, for letting me know that is," he said with a sheepish smile.

Before Harlie could get far, Colla stuck in one last word. "Keep that necklace safe, alright?"

sooo yes, new accessory and a little tidbit about the siblings' father >DD
