remake of my sandcastle/slug fakemonΒ frozenfeather.deviantart.com/aβ¦
they spend their days on the coast. they eat little berries and other roots of beach plants. they have soft squishy moist skin and sand textured backs.the evolved form have a hard rocky back structure similar to a sandcastle.they camouflage into the beach's environment. they are very common for children because of their fun nature and they are easy to train.
they are both ground/water type
the first one evolves into the second at lvl 23 while holding a shell bell

Sandlug (sand + slug) and Fortrelug (mollusk + fortress, because of the sandcastle)

I like these designs a lot more than the old ones.
I especially like the weird neck shape of the evolution. It's so Pokemon-like.
