I've always really liked Starmie. I usually dislike Psychic-types, but it's a fun one. I love your angle of it here!

Haha, I'm curious now- what is your least favourite type?
Most people I ask say Rock or Ground, because they could kind of be placed into the same type really.

I'm not really sure actually. It's different for different things.
I really dislike fire and electric types, there's very VERY few of either of those that I like, however I LOVE when other types can learn fire or electric types, like skuntank learning flamethrower, or Persian able to learn thunderbolt. Flamethrower is one of my top favorite moves. I find dragon type pretty cool, but overall I tend to shy away from dragon pokemon because they're normally too aggressive looking for me. Fighting moves are helpful to have, but I don't like fighting pokemon usually, and I HAAATE designing fighting type. I'm not a huge fan of dark, I find the moves worthless, and many dark pokemon are not my favorites, although it's often a secondary typing or "vibe" and I don't mind that,
My favorite type is hands down fairy, but I also really love normal type pokemon. I LOVE the poison type, and many of the pokemon, water and grass are amazing, I love using water type moves also, but they're some of my favorite looking pokemon. I like ghost pokemon, especially objects pokemon. Bug is fun, I love bugs, but the type is pretty useless. I like ice moves quite a bit, but I'm not usually a fan of ice type pokemon.
Flying is blah, rock is blah, psychic is high blah, steel is blah, ground is a high blah again.
So I'd probably say Fairy is my favorite, and dark is my least favorite (mostly because it often seems unnecessary and ugly, and the moves are forgettable and boring to me.)

Oh yeah I relate with a lot of what you just said! Dark would easily be my second least favourite type behind Psychic. And while the Fire-type Starters are some of my favourites, and I've always considered myself a fire-type fan, a lot of the other fire lines are very unappealing to me. Like you, Water and Grass have some of my favourite designed Poke'mon. Ghost, Bug and Ice are among some of my favourite types and favourite-looking Poke'mon also!
