Warning: ginormous file ahead a @So, I think I said I'd make one months ago,
and now I finally have many months later =v=;
I'm sorry if its not very good/unclear OTL;
It's my first real shot at a tutorial and I'm a pixel noob myself
Also, please excuse any typos and grammatical mistakes
since I'm grammatically challenged orz //sobs

This isn't awkward, it's very helpful! Most people just stick WIPs in sequential oder with a few labels, but you went very in-depth and explained the process.
One question, how do you make a transparent background? X_X

and about transparent backgrounds, in photoshop, just delete the white background layer (make sure to not draw on that layer xD). You'll know its transparent when you see the gray checkered pattern~ You'll also have to save the file as either a png or gif since jpegs wont retain transparent backgrounds (I think so anyway =v=; )

I tried to make this tutorial mostly about the technique and not the program, so I'm pretty sure it should work in other art programs c;

It can be done in GIMP, too (Personally I think it's easier to do in GIMP than Photoshop, anyway)

My pixels are always in 72 Dpi,
but I don't think it really matters unless you want to print it or something...o:

I was just curious about the resolution because I feel as though you fit a lot more in 50x50 than I can and was wondering if it had anything to do with that xDDD I think its just because I'm not quite used to such a small canvas size than what I'm normally used to
