Description
Spring fever!Photo/make up/edit:
Model: Maria Rova
Maria loves to sing and has been taking singing classes from a very young age
that butterfly was a metallic hair ornament i used to have as a kid but then one day i got crazy and painted it with nail polish and permanent marker
so i kinda experiment more with red (although i was afraid to use this color till very recently) hope you like
Also you know i like macro shots but i think i should take a step further and practice in faces/portraits
more red experiments here: [link]

I really love the make up. I would have cropped it a little differently though, I think the cropped of hand is distracting, and I think the background is a little distracting too. Maybe choosing a different angle could have helped too!

This is very cheerful, mercurial, fresh photograph with bright colours that represent the spring fever perfectly And I love the length of the eye-line.

The colors are lovely, especially the vivid red, but her expression is a bit...not. She looks like she's in pain.

This is beautifully done, but I'll tell you a little something I learned in make-up school.
You have to be careful when you're shooting a model from beneath eye level. Sometimes there can be distraction that happens.
For instance, this image is lovely, but the orange color on her nose from this angle is a little distracting.
Rather than pick a different image, just mute the orange down so that it matches all the other shadows in your image and you'll have a first rate photograph!!!
It's a fabulous makeup job, by the way (I would personally use a little more eyebrow pencil on her eyebrows so that you dont see individual hairs).
Hope this helps! I'm a fan of your work, as you know, so please dont take any critique personally, it's simply my opinion, one make-up artist to another.

the orange on the nose was put there intentionally by me
awww i never paint eyebrows cause i want a natural look actulally i didnt want them bold at all in this pic
its ok i dont have a problem with critique
i dont see my self as a professional makeup artist i do this for fun of the case!!

I noticed on a second look of the image that the orange on the nose compliments her cheeks, so I'm happier with it. I think in the large view on my work computer it just stood out a lot.
You dont have to color them in dark! It's just to keep from 'breaks' happening, where you see skin between hairs or you see individual hairs. Doesnt mean it cant look natural!!
You do it for fun, but you should do it for money. You're good.

I like the portrait shot composition. You have done a good job on the framing. It has the feel that she is laying down singing but they may just be the position of the hand. Immaculate make up too!
I look forward to seeing more like this. You always grab an idea and really make it work until it surrenders. So it's always a pleasure seeing what comes next.

Great photo. Love the angle - it's inviting. The pose is inviting. The color is inviting, The butterfly is sweet. The details in the red hair and the make-up c and the butterfly compliments each other while is the white skin and red lips compliments each other. Great work - I think.
Hopefully I'll be able to take photos like that!
