maybe you should see the artist's gallery first before you say something as god-awful as that. AND it is not a waste of talent to draw fanart. you just insulted hundreds of great artists that draw fanart.
and it's kind of god-awful too that you plug your own gallery on other people's pages. it's just god-awful.

S/He's just jealous cuz so many fanartist get attention. I mean heaven forbid we like anime and manga the things that got us into drawing/color/writing in this style in the first place. *eye roll*

*sighs* i know. i mean, most of us start by drawing stuff we think are good (in short, we learn by copying) but then we start putting in our own style.

*nods* exactly /and/ that's how we meet other people to be honest. If we didn't share an interest in the same animes a lot of us would never meet. Hell that's how I found you and fu-fu, I saw the KakaIru art she drew that you colored and then of course had to look at your guys' other stuff which I loved. And frankly that's true for most of the artist I know. I never would have joined DA or Y if not for artist I knew on LJ who drew KakaIru.
And that's the thing it's not that the person has to draw KakaIru forever, I am all for people doing their original stuff. Hell I like Frack101's original stuff more than I like her fanart, and I'm totally falling in love with Whisperelmwood's original project and Orangecurl's original stuff. Bu it is a lot easier to meet people that way.
