Eh, TBH, I think this series could do with more men. I prefer hetero over yuri. Series with nothing but girls tend to bore me because I like variety.
At least the fanservice is good.

I actually liked Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid, TBH. I got oddly emotionally invested in the characters. I wanted to see their situation improve and I felt sympathy for their goal of spreading hope. Plus, it had a VERY satisfying ending with an epic finale. I'm actually co-writing a fanfic with another girl where a male contracts the Armed Virus and is sent to Mermaid Island. He's a Liberator and my co-writer is playing his Exter partner as a self-insert. You might like my co-writer Iceland. She's a shy, otaku, black girl and a DDD-cup and I'm using every chance of the fanfic to embarrass her and get her naked.

lol I see sounds fun. I think people take things done in fiction way too seriously vs actually addressing real world problems. I seen more anime and Japanese kids shows tackle on more real life issues than most people in real life today

Yeah. In fact, some group made a petition asking Japan not to make any more eroge because they felt it degraded women. Japan essentially responded with "No. The eroge industry employs a lot of women and halting eroge production would put them out of work. Shouldn't you be focusing on real women who are getting hurt instead of fictional women?"
To that, I say...

yep. like I said these groups focus on the wrong aspect of this stuff though I'm pretty sure the anime shimoneta/the world is a boring place without dirty jokes more or less showed where that kind of idealism leads to. lol

Yup. Remember that girl who kept asking MC-kun how you make a baby? Really, Shimoneta!Japan? You already have declining birth rates and now your obsession with propriety is making people not know how to have sex? Then again, that kind of irony was probably intended by the author. XD

well in Shimoneta it was the entire the world that's been turned that way not just japan. so everyone in the world is in a declining birth rate
