i keep having these ideas for personal scrapbooky/collage kinda thingies, but i don't have the right images and things don't often turn out the way i'd like them to. this one turned out ok.. and considering its the first one i've done of its kind... i guess its promising? i don't know.. i like it anyway."There are just some things you can't know...

If it's possible to be in love with pieces of art, then you'll have to excuse me while I run away with this one. I love collages and weird scrapbooky mixed media pieces. The coins make me think of something stolen, which goes well with the words you've added about something that is lost.

I love the little kid in the chair... seems to me that s/he dropped a tennis ball and is watching it fall betwen his/her legs. Too cute. Life was good at that age, but it gets better in other ways as the years go by.
A few shipwrecks along the way but there's always a rescue team to bring you back.
Interesting work. I find myself continually coming back to see what else I can find in it.

Very poignant. It is very clear that you created this work from a personal happening. Nevermind any feedback on "balance" "shape" "tones" or "cohesion"... keep working from your heart. If I wanted to see some over stylized and homogenous piece of work I would open any paper and look at the ads. True art isn't in what we see, its what we feel; and not everyone has been in a place where the inspiration for this work might have come from. I feel it. Thank you for sharing yourself.
