Love the concept - and you shouldn't apologise for the shadows - it is the shadows that make it intriguing! It makes you wonder, is the dappled light shining from behind, or impressing upon the top of the paper? And does it really matter? Its the inverted nature and transparency that makes you draw parallels between the environemnt and the message that the quote conveys.
