Description Trying to get out of this drawing slump that I am in. I finally got hold of my tablet pen this week and managed to do something (without it looking like poo).

Anyways, let me know what you think! Feedback  is always welcome ^^

Your colors are spot on, Fudgepuff. The atmosphere of the image is very calm and relaxing. The girl also looks like she's looking back at the viewer(considering the title of the piece, she probably is! Haha!), but there's something more to the expression. I get the feeling that perhaps she was lost in thought before hearing the viewer approach. She's turning around to see, and just like that, whatever she was thinking is lost. Ephemeral as the clouds in the sky.

It can be tempting to want to draw the entire face in positions like this. As artists, we put a lot of time and effort into drawing faces well, and we want others to see the beautiful faces of our characters. This can result in difficulties when drawing people looking back from behind, however, as we tend to exaggerate the amount of face that really should be visible in those positions.

It's difficult to explain in a comment, however. I may have to consider making a tutorial on the subject. The main idea, though, is that even when looking back from behind, most people's heads are still largely oriented towards the front of their body. If you look at reference material, you'll find that most of the time, when people look back from behind, they don't actually make full eye contact with what they are looking at. Instead, their body simply hints that they are paying attention to what's behind them, but the eyes themselves never get more than 90 degrees to the left or right from the front of their body.

I hope this helps, and I'm glad you're working to get out of your slump, Fudgepuff. Sometimes, we just need to slog through things, haha.

You've explained yourself very well, I get what you mean haha.

Thank you, ones again, for your detailed. Really appreciate the time you take to really look into the picture.
It's nice to know that there's meaning in her eyes when you look at it. It gives it a little more depth

Thanks again!
