a lineless bust i knocked together in about 40 minutes so that i could get flight rising money (i had been broke on fr for about a month haha)i think my current challenge is making objects seem solid, but also how to match colours properly. i'm not sure i'm going in the right direction tbh

how do you do this kinda thing in 40 minutes? I guess it just takes practice, and you have to know what you're doing, huh o:

a fully-done lined portrait takes me about an hour and a half, but these lineless portraits/busts can be done so much faster because i don't have to waste time lining them (i do a very rough lineart so i know where all the details go, then slowly lower its opacity as i colour in the details until i can safely get rid of it). i also do the colours all on one layer save for the multiply shading, so that cuts down on time too!
