A study on kimono patterns and clothing folds. The background was originally colored but decided to turn it monochrome because it fits Tomoe more. For one, she's very dead. I love her character, silent and melancholic.

She's lovely! I just love this painting, it's so good. It has kind of an etheral appearence to it, yet is completely substanate. Simply beautiful.

The background does seem to fit almost perfectly, so I'll assume you made the right choice. As for the kimono, I think you pulled it off extremly well. It's absolutely gorgeous. The person's face is also quite well done.
