i'm still toying with what title to give to this fic so...for now, it's just untitled.

note 1: I wrote Night of Secrets [link] a long time ago because I've always wanted an ItaNaru (and perhaps, one day, it'll turn into a NaruIta). So yes, this little vignette I just wrote moves in the same timeline. Night of Secrets needs a revision, particularly the ages (but there's something really wrong with the ages anyway).

note 2: just a clarification, why I used "IT" in this vignette is because Itachi acknowledges Kyuubi. not Naruto. (for now)

note 3: yes, that pic is for this future fic.

He had not seen the boy after the day that they had successfully captured the demon child. It had been days of people coming in and out of the east wing where it was. Not once did he try to pay a visit. He had noticed how the air thinned when he was within the same room. His mere presence provoked something and it was easier to take it down when it wasn’t as furious when he was around.

The door creaked open and slammed closed behind him. Then, his gaze fell at the far wall inside the darkened room. He didn’t need any light to know that it was looking straight at him.

Imprisoned like a criminal. Chained like an animal. Sedated like a monster. And it belonged to them, to him.

Who would not be attracted to such strength?

With every step he took, there was a reply of soft sounds from metal grinding metal. He knew that it was trying to break free from the bounds. A futile attempt as the chains themselves were made of the same material as Kisame’s Samehada, it fed on chakra.

“Naruto-kun.”

“Itachi,” the name was interlaced within the hiss.
