My least favorite of the 4 illustrations I did for Infinite Legends RPG [link] I invited my best friend Will over and we did a couple hours of photo shooting to get some refs for a few illustrations I was doing. That's actually me and Will used as a ref there. It was the first one I did from ref and I think I was too concerned getting everything right and was a slave to it. There was little thought to composition or anything like that, and the lighting situation is pretty boring, even though I was intentionally going for a sort of washed out doctors office look.

I do, however, really like the depth of field effect (big thanks to the guys in the conceptart.org irc channel for giving me that idea.) and the tactical vest the soldier is wearing came out surprisingly well dispite the fact that I threw it on as an afterthought and it's minimally rendered.
