Art for Blue Exorcist S3 E2 - "Where Secrets Are"

"Why are you raising us, Father? Why is Lord Pheles allowing us to exist?"

As soon as I started watching this weeks episode, I knew I had to drawing something related to the Yukio scene. I've always wondered why we never saw Yukio's perspective of what happened to Shiro and Rin and now we finally did and I was so excited!

I'm honestly not the biggest fan of Yukio because he can sometimes be really mean to Rin, but his character development and conflicts are so well done that I'm really enjoying his episodes!

I used a bit of symbolism in this art. The blood on his fingers symbolizes the contract, his eye symbolizes his relationship with Satan, as well as his demonic powers, and the scene with Rin symbolizes his connection to Rin and his emotions about his father's death. He knows that he is treated differently because of his demonic origin.

I went OVERBOARD on art this week. I wanted to draw something simpler than last week but here we are. I've already done something more complicated lol. This probably took between 8-10 hours.

I've never been great at drawing backgrounds so I'm really freakin proud of that background!

I didn't get much reel footage this week as I was solely concerned about this drawing looking good, but there will be a reel later this week on my Instagram! (full_metal_exorcist)
