"Just getting up? Or are you still awake? Stay a while, and enjoy the view with me."

Recently, I've began listening to synthwave music. It's hard to describe, but it's basically 80's style music that tries to capture that culture and atmosphere. Even though I was born in the 90s, it really speaks to me, and makes me nostalgic for a period in time that I couldnt have experienced.

What inspired me was a synthwave music video set to footage of the Simpsons. Specifically, "Bart On The Road."

The idea of driving across the state in the early hours of the morning, without a care in the world, and the music that invoked that chill vibe? It awakened something in me. A feeling I cant explain, but can express through my art.

When traveling with my family to the city, sometimes we would leave very early in the morning, when the sun was starting to rise. We would often see large pieces of farm land, sometimes surrounded by old wooden fences. That is what I am attempting to capture here.

Sometimes, we just need to take a moment to let go, and absorb the natural beauty of the world around us.
