Fulstein — Crow 2.0

Description I found a wooden plaque (about 11.5 x 15.5in) in Good Will with some flowers on it and cannibalized it into this. Sadly I found it was a bunch of cheap wood layers glued together which was interesting. This took way longer than I thought and I'm not too stoked about the result but I'm grateful for the experience and maybe someone out there will think its awesome. Feel free to offer suggestions if you feel inclined

I'm guessing the pressboard layers made it kind of hard to carve, but it still came out nicely!

Regardless of the negatives, I think this is very lovely.
I especially adore that you've done a crow

It's funny that you should post something made from a second hand item-- I have found a small side table at the swap meet that I am wood burning onto, hehe.
Recycling is always the best way to do things, in my opinion-- very conscientious

very glad you like it and I really like the idea of the celtic crow. I've got shelves of crap I've bought at thrift shops but haven't got to yet Best wishes on your table! I would love to work on a table.
Slowly working on my desk but it's painfully slow since I have no plan.

I think it looks pretty good especially the bird. . . gotta be careful w/goodwill I've found, it's very hit or miss (like this plaque being made of particle board), and stuff in there isn't always clean either :s
