Description
Quick practise/experiment, has itΒ΄s flaws, but for only 30minutes of work or so, IΒ΄m pretty happy with it. Might start using planetrings in upcoming pieces some more, they seem to have a cool effect on spacepieces. Thanks to `hameed & *Mr-Frenzy for their starresources, and [link] for the textures on the planet. All apophysismaterial is my own.

Just Photoshop, I took a large Apophysis fractal-render that I used as base, twirled it and made it more compact with the free transform option, then set the layermode to screen and deleted some of the unwanted elements away and I was pretty much done. Oh, and I did use a small layer of noise that I combined with the actual rings to give them a little more realistic feel. That doesn't show much on the galleryversion due to compression but anywway.
Oh, and I checked your gallery and saw that youΒ΄re interested in space-art. I run a stock-account, Fune-Stock , if you have the time feel free to check out the gallery, there's some spaceresources available in there with pretty loose usage-rules. It's always great to see people enthusiastic about the stock and using them, maybe you might be one of them.
And thanks for the watch here on my main-account, always appreciated, and have a great weekend.

Thanks for the response. Β I've tried doing rings in GIMP and have not been super happy with the results yet. Β Guess I'll just have to keep trying until I get something more like this. Β xD Β Have a great weekend, yourself

The only thing that took long was the apo-renders. But the compiling/manipulating in photoshop happened incredibly fast, I was surprised myself since I usually take much longer. Good to see you liked.

Cool! I like the thing going around the planet, I have no idea what you call them but it looks really good.

That's really great!
If this fine piece is just a practice one, I can't wait for the first non-experimental one...
Any chances for a 1600 X 1200 version?
+Fav!

Thanks.
And sorry, I usually donΒ΄t work with experiments in wallpaperresolutions, so this is as big as it gets. IΒ΄ll try to make the next proper one big enough, so if it looks good enough, I can make some wallpapers out of it.
