The lack of shadow is intentional. And as for fitting in to the scenery, can´t be helped I guess.

Yeah, it´s so easy to take the lazier route, my earlier works was full of that approach. And I still try to find as many shortcuts while manipulating as possible, if I just can disguise it to look more complex.

I am still learning, and I'm always shocked when something turns out well. Each time I try new things, I am learning in the process. I see some really beautiful art by different artist, who takes their time and does a lot of tough consumeing artwork, and wow, does it ever show. I want to slow down and learn how to do that. I'm still not real sure what programs they use, but their colors, blending, is truely beautiful. I think they draw their work and start blending in colors. Could be painter x they use, but not sure. Anyway, the time they take is worth the results. Just like the rail work you did, it was great!! I am truely impressed.
