Description Apophysis 2.06 3D hack / Photoshop & The plastic script by =trystianity . [link]

Haven´t done any fractalwork in ages, only used Apo to cook up more abstract renders to be used in spaceart. But anyway, with the release of the 3d hack to Apophysis, and from seeing what others were able to do with it, had to try it out myself. Lots of swings and misses so far, but some results also. More coming eventually, I´m sure, so apologies in advance to all of you watching me who couldn´t care less about fractals.

Thanks for checking out.

Thank you. Still need a lot of testing with the 3dhack, but based on a few quick tries, it´s really fun.

Hehe, one way to see it. Fractals are neat that way, lot´s of stuff to be seen in them, even though they´re abstract.

It sure is - and it's our (humans) way too - to see things in abstract patterns. Like faces and such.

Yep, it has it´s moments for sure. And when combined with any picture-editing software, opens up a whole another dimension of possibilities. And seeing you like abstract-designs so much, might be helpful with those too.

True, got any good "getting started guide" or something? or is it learned easily?

Haven´t seen any tutorials, the basics are easy, so no worries on those. Pretty much all the controls & such and other functions are easy to find and test out. The hard part when you want anything more complex out with the program, than just the randomized fractals the generators will give you in the beginning. That part is up to the user, and needs a ton of experimenting with the programs parameter editor. But that´s not hard to use either, it´s just punching in values/variables and seeing what happens. And praying for the best I guess.

Very cool... Makes me want to dig out my ancient copy of Fractint for OS/2. It's been like 10 years or more since I played with it!
Cheers!

Thank you. You should try Apophysis, the program is free, and not that difficult to use either. Even though the results are often really random in the beginning, but still, really fun.

Thanks. Nice to make too, save the headache or two while postworking in photoshop. Those lines really get inside the brain and mess things up.
