Sushi: "That kid was more of a pain in the butt than we anticipated... Sorry that I had to break away for a moment without a word! Every last ounce of my patience had vanished and I wouldn't have been much help."
Sushi: "I'm surprised you and Faust held your temper down all the while, though."

Talia: Don't worry about it, honestly I should've taken my leave before then too- Yeah that kid was a real pain- IM surprised I even lasted that long- I thought I was going to blow up at the end-

The feline sighed as she went on, lazily smiling.
Sushi: "Taliaaaaaaa! I'm not a giant! 5'4" is such an average height... I experience zero difficulty with my day to day life~"
"...You would probably have difficulties reaching countertops, doorknobs, and scaling stairs, however. Might be using stools and soap boxes too, I'm betting. HA!"

Talia cheeks flushed embarrassed, again, due to part of this being true, and partly to that being a pretty good comeback. The corner of her mouth twitched and she looked a bit antsy, feeling a bit defeated at this moment.
Talia: "I don't have any problems doing any of those things! I do everything myself and never have to use anything to stand on!"

His tail began to slowly sway much like a cobra slithering from side to side.
Sushi: "The Devil is a liar, Talia."
He purred, a devious grin forming.

Talia jumps a bit and her fur seemed frazzled.
Talia: "I-I MEAN- IM not LYING-!" Talia got a bit quieter "about all of it-.."
Talia cleared her throat and messed with her hair, she was having a hard time thinking of a comeback, which was unusual.

As much amusement and happiness as it did grant him to see others enact in sinful ways, Talia was becoming whittled down to nothing and he had already deemed himself the winner of this round. Mercy, mercy!
He leaned down a bit closer, lowering his voice in a gentle yet teasing tone akin to honey.
Sushi: "Okay. I believe you."
Sushi didn't mean the admittance truthfully, but it was quite pitiful to see the poor critter become caught and squirm relentlessly in a lie they trapped themselves under.

Of all things Talia was expecting to happen, Sushi getting closer to her like this wasn't one of them. And the tone that he took a tune to alone with it did not help the warm feeling from suddenly exploding to a hot burn in her cheeks. Standing there for a moment she stammered.
Talia: "W-Wh-A-"
Talia moved back slightly and cleared her throat collecting herself. He had been so close. Closer then she was used to.
Talia: "G-great! i'm glad! Ahem, ehehheh..."
She was at a loss of words, Sushi had really caught her off guard- She felt so unusual- Though she was happy that went ahead and said he believed her, that meant that THAT conversation was over.

Very well noticing her flustered outburst, Sushi stifled a laugh before returning to his usual height. He never intended that reaction to come out of it but he never consciously prevented it either. What a welcome sequence of events...
Sushi: "Was I too close for comfort?"
He murmured in the same alluring tone- fully aware of what he's playing by this point. Perhaps that'd kill the poor soul...
The Devil straightened his posture and smiled brightly as if nothing impish had occurred beforehand.
Sushi: "Honesty is a good building block in relationships, after all. You'd agree, wouldn't you, Talia?"

Talia watched him quietly, her fur slowly started to flatten and resume its normal form.
It was true what he said, He had been to close for comfort-
Her eyes still on him she put on her best calm expression,
trying to convince herself that she wasn't still embarrassed.
Talia: "Ahah... ah..."
After letting out some of her awkward chuckles and giving her face a nice rub, trying to make the pink go away.
she gave him a warm smile and nodded her head. She wouldn't let that bother her too long or at least try.
That and she honestly did hate liars, so it felt wrong to continue to lie- Even if it did hurt her pride.
(PRETEND THERE IS BLUSH ON THIS AND SHE DOESNT LOOK ANGRY LOL I DONT HAVE THE EMOTE)
Talia: "Yeah- It is..-" After pausing for a moment she continued. "I do have trouble sometimes-..."
Sushi really had backed her into a corner of her own lie. It was almost funny how easy it was for him, though it was a pretty obvious lie-

A hint of an actual smile peeked his corners as she brought forth what was on her mind. Mainly from the beginnings of her admittance...
Sushi: "Trouble? With what? Telling the truth?"
Sushi: "Speak your heart and tell me what's ailing you! You must be more specific..."
The Devil went on, playing the fool.
While Sushi was being bothersome with the tall tale she had crafted, the feline wouldn't dare let something as small as an obvious lie go. Such troubling behavior could innocently blossom but quickly overgrow into a horrendous, prickly thicket of deceit unchecked! ...Which is a future that he would have adored as an outcome to witness but... Talia deserves better. Or so he deems it.

Talia thought the conversation was over- guess not- she could feel how
much Sushi was enjoying messing with her. Her words came out in a stammer and
seemed a bit rushed. This was an uncomfortable feeling, the tightness of her chest
and the uncontrollable studdering when she tried to form sentences. And as she kept trying
to turn the conversation back in her favor she only got more frazzled.
Talia: "No! Of course not! I actually value honesty!!"
After pausing for a moment she sighed deeply and rubbed the back of her head.
She knew when she had lost and should just throw in the towel.
Talia: "You know exactly what I mean Sushi- I do..... have trouble reaching stuff sometimes-"
She fidgeted with her skirt and furrowed her brows, her tail frazzled but low.
The more she spoke to Sushi the more she learned of his mischievous undertones and
how it felt to be the one on the teased end of the stick. This badger would have to be more careful with
what she says and acts around this feline. Though, she kinda enjoyed this as well.
The banter and friend like aura that she felt made her feel better about the situation.

His eyebrows rose by a means of feigning surprise and a sly smile crept up as he heard the truth.
Sushi: "Do you now?"
As delightful as it was for him to poke and prod his pitchfork at what made poor Talia tick, the demon figured he'd at least give her a moment's rest to recharge after all of this. Exhausting the poor critter to her knees of sheer embarrassment would be far too cruel of a punishment! There would be no pleasure in impishly, relentlessly teasing the complete shambles of a soul to ruin... or perhaps there would. Mercy, Satan, mercy. You're reformed now. He let out a satisfied sigh and crossed his arms with a forgiving, softened smile.
Sushi: "Well, I'm pleased you could come clean. Even more pleased that'd you'd be willing to be honest with me..."
He purred the last sentence, instantly biting back the powerful temptation to lean closer and shake her up like he had prior. A faint, almost next to unnoticeable pang did however, bother him at the back of his mind. Honesty. For one who masqueraded as a 'moral compass' in this situation and taught truthfulness as an important moral- he sure didn't reflect that lesson or someone who abides by it. Sushi frowned slightly at the internal observation but immediately furrowed his brows with justification.
Sushi: (I'm not lying. I'm protecting my identity... this is different. It's different.)

Talia, finally having a true moment to collect herself cleared her throat of the embarrassment
And stood up straight.
Talia: "Glad that you're 'pleased' by that-" she bit her lip and then sighed.
"You really let me have it, huh Sushi? Tugging my tail until I told the truth. How evil of you I must say."
Taking a moment to let her honey glow fade, her expression went into more of a face mixed of enjoyment and
satisfaction.
Talia: "You really took fun out of teasing me into a corner- It honestly took me out of my comfort zone, wasn't something I was used to."
Talia snickered, and a bit of a darker feeling blanketed over her eyes as she looked up into his.
Talia: "If you hadn't been a friend, I probably wouldn't have taken it so lightly~"
As quickly as that darker feeling came, it vanished and she gave him a warm smile.
Talia: "But honesty is pretty important so, I don't mind. I'd rather be honest with you anyway- it's easier that way, y' know?"
Internally she was referring to how she could just avoid situations like this.
If she didn't lie, then there was nothing he could poke and prod her for.
Though, she must admit to herself, even though conversations like this were awkward and embarrassing to her,
She still enjoyed them. She gave another warm smile and kinda stared down away while thinking.

He gave a feigned appalled look as if he were deeply offended by what she admitted.
Sushi: "Evil? My, what an accusation! I was merely aiding you in my own special way."
Sushi had visibly noticed the intense atmosphere change this time around in the form of furrowing his brows. Actively avoiding to succumbing to its influence now, he forced himself to rather focus on Talia's physical being instead of the unexpected, powerful aura shift surrounding her. While it was tempting to let go and fully resonate- slipping up unconsciously wasn't wise... especially since he happened to catch it beforehand this specific instance. A mental slap on the wrist was well needed... Gods know how many times he's accidentally fallen for it by now.
He straightened his posture and asserted himself to gain more control. Once in that foggy mindset, it was as effective as climbing out of a sticky tar pit to escape from without assistance.
Sushi: "Well noted, mm."
A slight wave of guilt overcame him pertaining to honesty but he immediately shoved it to the side, unwilling to deal with it any further for today.
Sushi: "...Of course it is."
The cat crossed his arms fairly tight with a somewhat strained, masked smile due to his intrusive thoughts, swaying his tail a bit. He flicked an ear, noticing the badger had become lost in thought and smirked.
Sushi: "What are you thinking about?"

Talia, hearing him ask her what she was thinking made her snap out of her smokey thoughts.
Talia: "Oh I'm sorry I got lost in my thoughts!"
She gave him a happy grin and flicked her tail, giving her cheek a scratch. The air around her was completely clean now, giving off a more bubbly and happy feel to it.
Talia: "I was just thinking about how much I've come to like our friendship- You're very fun to talk to! Interesting and hard to predict! I like it."
Talia admitted this confidently, she has never had a hard time speaking her mind when it comes to how she feels about people or situations. Especially when its a friend.
Talia stood up straight and snickered a bit, swaying her tail back and worth almost as if she were wagging it. Though it was slower. She seemed to be in a pretty good mood now.
Talia: "Talking to you is never boring~ heheh.."

The feline gave a low, amused chuckle at her confident claim.
Sushi: "My, aren't you direct about my mannerisms. I'll accept this compliment, as bold as it is..."
"It's a welcome reveal to know you enjoy my company, mm? Likewise with yours."

Hearing that from him made a warm happy smile grow on her face. It was still so new to her how making new friends other than Thini felt.. and hearing him say he ENJOYED her company really felt good.
Most people saw her as rude and aggressive...which wasn't wrong, she COULD be pretty aggressive, but it was really nice when she had someone who saw past that part of her. Which she tried so hard to control.
Talia: "Im..I'm glad to hear that!"
Talia shifted her weight to one leg and gave a laugh.
Talia: "Sorry, I can be a bit blunt sometimes...eheh~"

He gave a satisfied smirk, noticing her sheepish body language.
Sushi: "It's more than preferred in my eyes. There would be little to no chance of miscommunication with feelings out in the open, mm?"
Leaning to her level, he added in a noticeably more flirtatious, deep purr-
Sushi: "I find it rather attractive in others."
By that implication, the feline was plainly stating it was attractive in a platonic sense but his devilish tone corrupted the intended meaning. He was definitely messing with the poor honey badger's emotions, possibly to selfishly trigger another heightened rise out of Talia before completely leaving her be. For a demon, he certainly fit the bill- toying with mortals until their energy ran dry due to bottomless, sinful greed. She's been one of the few villagers he's come in contact to that had nearly satisfied that gnawing hunger! How could he refuse passing this up?

Talia's face burned quickly at the sudden indirect compliment. Her fur almost puffing out a bit as if she were cold, making her seem a bit more full and fluffy. full-heartedly not expecting him to say that- And the tone to his voice...was he flirting with her?! And he was so close... she could smell him at this point.
If he WAS flirting with her then it was working, Talia could feel her heart beating 100 miles a minute in her chest. It was an uncomfortable feeling. She was NOT used to this type of being flustered at all.
Though with how hard it was to read this feline and his habit of teasing she honestly couldn't tell if it were legitimate flirting or not.
Talia: "A-Attractive-!?"
Her cheeks still bright red and a noticeable stutter to her voice she tried to dismiss the knot that was forming in her stomach and ball in her throat. She went as if she hadn't taken the comment personally.
Talia: "AH- Yeah! I mean, I like others to be p..pretty straight forward as well! EHheh- Better to know exactly how the person feels and thinks- I would also prefer it- ..y..ya know?"
While she spoke, her hand twiddled in her fur unconsciously, wrapping it around her finger and then pulling it out, and repeating. As if it were a subconscious way of comforting herself. Geez, where did Sushi get off? It was so hard to really understand what his intentions are.
