Was this based on the boss from the "God Mode" mod or is it the other way around? The reason being that I notice a LOT of similarities between this boss and "The Aborted" from the "God Mode" mod.

Yeah, it is. I watched Tear Of Grace play through it twice. It was pretty funny. What he said about the replacement for "It Lives" pretty much is how I would describe Stillborn.
