Thanks! That one eventually became an album cover for Daniel Eriksen (from the Netherlands somewhere..Maybe Holland) called "Muddy Days", a commission a few years ago if I remember correctly. Β

It wasn't a very big commission. 2 or 3 hundred bucks and he sent me half a dozen CD's after production...His stuff was OK, not my style of music really...In English though, which was strange considering he's not from an English speaking country.

For me, the compliment of having my work used in this way would be much more valuable.Β That said, to him that may have been a lot of money. The U.S. dollar (and other currency) has MUCH more value in some countries.

Yeah I suppose. I know that he's a struggling artist like most of us..He's not rich and famous.. it is an honor to have my work used this way, but I don't like commissions in general because it's too difficult to please some clients...I've run into that over and over again. I like sticking to what I wanna do and not what somebody else thinks they want done.

Yeah I can understand that.....Hard to believe though your work produced anything but a 'pleased' reaction....Makes me think of some of the groups on DA, how some who run them like to power trip, turn away great work just because 'they can'.Β
...PeopleΒ will beΒ people, I guess!Β (and you know, animals are the best people!

I'm a graphic designer for a sign company (my real profession). You'd be surprised how many clients either don't like my designs or re-edit them a dozen times. That's why I try to keep this pleasurable and stay away from commissions.

Yes it does surprise me.Β Their taste sucks.Β Either that or they are just perfectionists.Β After all, they did seek you out, so....

Also some clients don't really know what they want until they see something that interests or excites them...those are the most difficult to please.

Yes I imagine so....because it sounds like they are subject to change on a whim.
