Description
Trade number 4, this time for T-Kay featuring his cute mouse girl KatieI've learned that drawing yawns can be problematic at times, but I think I managed to get this one right. I also used colour holds on this one as I felt it needed it
Oh yes, before I forget, trades are closed for the moment until I clear my current load. Another 5 I believe. I'll let you guys know when they're opened up again.

Adorable!
The pose is especially sharp on this one in my opinion! The colors also are very well chosen, but that's like always!

The tear in the eye is a very nice touch for just waking up. And you did a good job with the yawn, a very good job, crap, now I am yawning. I blame you for this one. Haha.

That they are. Doesn't help that I haven't been sleeping well either. Sucks working nights.

"I've learned that drawing yawns can be problematic at times"

This will sound strange, but if they're not drawn quite right, the combination of the face and and body posture can look like the person yawning is being 'pleasured' in some way. Something I'd want to be avoiding, of course.

Good point! My problem it's when I draw I character who look tired, I feel tired myself ( sound strange no? XD )

lol, makes perfect sense You tend to get into the same mindset as the character you're drawing. It helps you to empathise with the character and really get what they're feeling onto the page. When I'm drawing a character that's moody or angry I start feeling that way a little as well so have to snap myself out of it

Hahaha fiou I'm not alone.
Well, I 'play' many part of my comics before I start to draw all of that just for try to have the feeling of the characters and the emotions, it's really useful.

It's weird that you guys talk about mindsets of characters. I can totally see how we can emulate the feeling of the emotions as we are trying to produce something that replicates them
peace
