I have a question. Did you put the hair piece on the front or behind the ear?

Either way works. ^^ Whatever's easiest for you haha, it doesn't really matter too much because you'll be blending the pieces together and it should all look pretty smooth in the end.
For bangs/long hair, you can usually cover any flaws with small DnD or other hair-pieces; for short hair (as shown) putting the small hairpiece that becomes the ear should generally go in the front for easy blending.
