I must say, Funtime Foxy is extremely adorable and your chibis style looks really precious. Those wonderful eyes and still has plenty of fluffy to show. The colouring and linework is nice and neat the the shading is a soft tone.

I say you are making a great step in doing pixel art. I guess the main advice I can give in pixel art is never add or use airbrushing. Soft textures type brushes don't mix well with pixels, unless it's barely noticable xD but the shading you picked is perfect because it's like a grain type pixel shading.

I've seen drawings that have soft outlines and pixel shading and it really is not my cup o' tea ><
The program I used for this is MS Paint, which is actually all pixely, so I guess it's easy to make pixel art as long as you keep it at a small size (about 772 x 1032) ;v;
