Description
READ THE RP DARK AND I WROTE OUT
The art I did for the Hush n Sol's first floor of Babylon
I wanted to do the palette challenge, so I sorta just fused it with the event. I'm not sure what inspired the fire/ice, but I thought it looked cool and was a nice balance.
Hush's palette
Sol's palette
Cheated a little bit but ohwell
I'm not sure what exactly inspired the name either.. . . briefly they both experienced something from the past, but hush never saw hers.. hooha misleading titles
Ohh but
I love Hush's purple tongue here so much
you dont understand< 3

Practice, determination, and many hours of pain spent into this :'D Anyone can make amazing things if they put the time into it < 3

HOLY
*CHOKES*
OH MY GOSH!!!
I watched your stream when you drew this, and I saw the finished Hush, but seeing Sol there too is hella awesome. Β I love that you included the palette challenge in this, since it adds such a nice little twist to the art. Β There's so much detail and texture in both of these, and you totally pass this floor with flying colors!
+20 Favor because this is rad.
...also +1 auma

Ah, thanks Riv ! Sol really sold the cake on this one, though I did enjoy Hush alone. I really like the contrast they set between each other and they're sorta like a playing card. This entire thing essentially became about the palette, like not sure exactly how or whatΒ was originally even thinking, but I had the idea lodged into my brain for a few days before even sitting down and sketching it out. There's no turning back after dwelling on something for days.
and that 1 auma point |'D thanks bruh

Thanks!:'D Not sure if I can exactly call it painting, well the chest fluff definitely is, but I just set my lineart to overlay and that pretty effectively toned the lines down. I'm really happy with the results and this was a great experiment

yeah! If you start with a dark color, though, it'll look bad. Just set your lineart to 'preserve opacity' and paint bright colors over it until you're satisfied :'D what program do you use again..? I know the button on sai is preserve opacity but i cant remember what the photoshop equivalent is

Oh my gosh.
Fur, this is absolutely incredible.
The emotions you've captured are absolutely flawless, they're so well executed. And the way you've made the colours blend together so flawlessly, and all the shading too- It's obvious you put a lot of work into this and the outcome is stunning! All the detail in the fur, the two palettes together, everything about this piece is really beautiful
You're so talented aa

Ah Nugs ;v;
Thank you so much for such a sweet message. It gave me a silly grin on my face< 3
But, oh god, yes! The hours of shading and the ache of my hand afterwards ;v; Can proudly say I managed to finish it over the span of a single day tho

Holy damn Fur this is absolutely breathtaking! The shading on the fur I just. Hush's expression is just so amazing and I love how Sol's muzzle came out. The palette you used is gorgeous, and the yellowish tone makes me think of sepia film. I love it. I just cant get over the shading of the fur oh my goodness ;;

Thank you Fluff :'D I had so much fun drawing this, but yes, the shading, it killed my hands. Though relatively simply to do (just get a nice brush tool and set a layer to multiply) the multitude of the strokes i had to do was overwhelming. Then rinse wash and repeat some more layers with additional shading yet.
The palette, yess, well it's actually two different ones I combined. I'm really happy with how they combined together though.
