Beautiful and scary - I feel like the child underneath the tree, full of apprehension. Wonderful contrast between the birds and background, simplistic trees and detailed grass and barbed wire - all providing a feast for the eye and senses. Great work my friend

I don't want to have to repeat what everyone else has already stated. I love the grass, the lighting and how you touched up the moss on the trees. Overall, I like the composition of the piece. Um...one suggestion though...the objects in the sky, they're a bit too sharp and clear cosidering the distance they have to the viewer. I thought perhaps maybe you'd like them to blend in a bit more with the night sky? Or maybe they're really that looming and large? But overall, good illustration.

This is so professional! You must illustrate book covers and books don't you? If so you should because this is so nice. I especially like the somewhat simplified style (for example, the grass is a lot thicker than i think it would be on a totally realistic painting) Also interesting playing with focus in the foreground. The roots you know? Perhaps you could follow that focus-theme on the grass also, which is totally sharp. Anyway, great, magic painting!

Kul att du gillade min bild...Jag har tyvär inte gjort några bokomslag men vill gärna göra det....Grässtråen blev tjocka för det hade annars varit jobbigt att måla dom jättesmala men även att jag inte vill ha för stor upplösning när jag jobbade med den...Jag hadde 3d programmet Maya i gång vid sidan av Photoshop så det hade blivit tungt annars.
