Description
This was a very exciting and nerve-wracking piece for me to do. The part that I had to do a lot of practice and prep for, which is the part that was nerve-wracking, was the coloring. It was my first attempt at using multiple types of media. The only type of media I've ever really used is colored pencil, (I've touched upon using Copic markers only a little, with guidance from my big sister, who's quite talented with them) so I didn't try to be too adventurous. I simply used some watercolor for the base color of his blue jumpsuit, the red of his hair, his scar, and his ice.

I'm quite proud of how his fire turned out. It took a little of experimenting with different colors and coloring orders and such to figure out, and I've struggled with coloring fire before and never really cemented down a technique for it. But I think this worked out really well.

All in all, I'm very pleased with it. There are one or two smaller details that bother me, but I drew this for a friend's birthday a few months back, and he loved it, so that's really all that matters, lol.
