Bluh, tried to show off shitty lava level lighting skillz.If you read Homestuck you'd get the joke. If you don't, let's just say there is a character that gets blamed for everything.
Dave Strider and Bec Noir/Jaquerel/Jack Noir are from Andrew Hussie's amazing webcomic thingy "Homestuck" which is part of the website mspaintadventures.com hence "MSPA".

In all seriousness, it's weird to see Vriska as a sympathetic character, but that's what the last few updates have made most readers do. O_o

I think people should realize even before Vriska's appearance that people are NOT two-dimensional. And most people cannot be wholly "good" or "evil".

Being sympathetic has less to do with being good or evil and more to do with appearing complex and interesting, and having qualities the reader can identify with. It IS possible to have a one-dimensional or two-dimensional fictional character, although Hussie is very good at making even minor characters extremely believable as people.
All of the trolls are equivalent to mixed-up, angry, confused middle schoolers from the part of the universe you don't wanna be in after dark. Vriska was never ABSOLUTE PURE EBIL. But she wasn't terribly sympathetic either.
As for the blame game, though, that was a beautifully cringeworthy chain of synchronized screwups. Plenty of blame to go around.

I love it that Homestuck shows the whole chain of events that lead from one thing to another, it shows how interconnected our decisions really are.
However you're right about the sympathy thing, but I think I was referring to the whole rollercoaster of hate and sympathy and people just not getting it that these are characters that are meant to be, just like real people, have several shades of gray at once.
