Awesome...it jumped out at me like an old friend.
I've first seen it in one of my fav books "How to Draw Cars the Hot Wheels Way", edited by another awesome conceptual guy, Scott Robertson.
It's a pleasure to meet someone of your caliber on this site.
I would really like some of your input on my stuff, please check it out!
Thanks.

Hey I am glad you recognized it. I had someone else tell me I ripped it off. I tryed to explain that it was my work but I never heard back from the person. I often wondered if people ever saw that book. It is a great book and great tutorials from Scott. Scott was one of my teachers at Art Center and I have kept in touch with him. I will take a look at some of your stuff and give you some comments.

I like your use of monochromatics, and the blue really stands out to give it that look of cold, hard steel.

GOOD WORK!
What is your secrets? do you use any particular methods to get such a clean drawing?
Keep it up!

Thanks! I guess the secret would be a lot of drawing. Draw everyday. I also used sweeps and circle guids to really clean up my line work. No real secrets.

Thanks! There really is no specific reason. I just thought it added to the drawing. It gives the car more of a personality and becomes more of a character than just a vehicle. The car has a mind of its own so it needs to be chained down. Make up what ever you want. hahaha.

Well to be honest with you. that is my drawing in Scott's book. I used to work for Hot Wheels and he published the book when I was there so some of my artwork was in the book.
