Description
This is a model I recently built from a sketch out of my book The Hot Rod Art Book: Masters of Chicken Scratch. It is a concept for a Bonneville salt flat car. It is based on a rear engine belly tanker and is inspired by WWII aircraft. It was built in Solid works and outputted by computer generated manufacturing devices. The engine block is CNC'ed aluminum and the body is ABS plastic. Then it was painted with silver paint and scratched with a scotch brite pad to give it that brushed look. If you want to read some more about the model you can see it at [link]Related content

that actually looks even better in the flesh (or metal) than in your renders... which is a rare thing!! Looks beautiful and the wheels suit it down to the ground, nice little twist on hotrod 5 spokes!

I am actually pricing it to see if it might be worth making some small scale versions of this car.

either this is some great HDR lighting and im reading that description all wrong, or this is some nice physical modeling.
Either way, this is looking dope.

Yes it is a real model. It was originally built in 3D but then spit out by computer into physical parts.
