Description
So I decided to revisit this piece. Like I have been saying that I am getting ready for a show and I am going to display this piece. I always liked the concept but never really like my execution. So I decided to revamp it and make the rear end more finished and still fix a few things and made the composition more interesting. Used Photoshop CS3 to retouch everything. I really want a good story for this piece so if anyone wants to throw out ideas that would be great!Related content

As the sun rose, breaking through the morning clouds, light glimmered off the paint detail of this rare beauty, tinted windows gleaming in the morning rays.
The driver sat, impaitently tapping his leathered thumb on the steering wheel. Where are they? he thought to himself, his head snapping to a fro as he stayed alret for any activity: you never know if it'd be Them, or the fuzz.
You see, it's not exactly a common thing... Finding a car with wheels still operational these days. And it's not exactly often you find a man trained in knowing the mechanics of them, either. A lost art, you could say. Those who were were under close enough observation as it was! If he were found, he was a dead man. The government didn't want the everyday man to know how to work with these delicate yet deadly machines: these war-winning miracles. If the everyday man knew how to build them, then the people could rebel...
But isn't that in that constitution? the driver thought to himself. The right to rebel against an unjust government? Or have we forgotten that as well...? With a grunt, the driver shifted in his leather-interior Mustang and adjusted the sunglasses perched on his nose. The factories of the industrial city roared to life as the solar-energy panels absorbed the sun's radiation greedily. Then they started up: the subways; the trams. That's what all the bridges and runways were for. For you see, in this day and age, this future, no one was suppose to know how to drive...
The driver glared at the trams as they silently slid out of their stations, taking the blinded citizens, oh so comfortable in their stupor of false security, off to their jobs, their families, their 'lives.' No, we haven't forgotten... he glumly thought. We're too afraid...
*Pops her knuckles* And thus ends my creativity for tonight! Hope you like ^_^
Wow... I know your work inspires, but DANG I felt the urge to write Oo;

DAMN man! This looks like a gorgeous 2057 Saleen S7!! LOL... I just realized that this is painted! This is exactly how I want to learn to draw cars digitally! You really need to make me a tutorial man! haha

Hey thanks! very much appreciated. Yea the Tutorial thing. I actually have one of one of my ships but I have never finished it. To be truly honest with you I use a lot of the same methods that a lot of others guys out there use. This actually started as an idea that Scott Robertson showed me how to do. It started as a radio control chassis and I took pics of it then started rendering over the top of it. I think it is the only one I have done that way. Instead of drawing the car I kind of sculpted it around the chassis with light and shadow and happy accidents. Very fun technique.

Hmm well still! I still think you should make a detailed tutorial... I would really love to learn the step by step of drawing this badass!

The engine is running the lights are on, looks like his waiting for somethign. What could a fast car be waiting for in deserted area under the bridge?

Looks great!!!! It might be interesting to throw in a character leaning against the car to bring a little more emphasis to the vehicle and to show off the scale of the vehicle. It could also, in its own way. heighten the sense of drama and allow for new interpretations of the story that is being told in this image. Just an idea sense you asked for them! Looks amazing as it is though Nothing short of Dwayne Vance!

OH man, I suck at characters so bad. I can do robots but my people, ugh. Good suggestion though maybe I will give it a shot.

Here's some detail about the idea I had of adding a character if you decide to try it. Make the character leaning against the car with one leg up [knee bent/foot against tire(maybe vehicle)] smoking a cigerette. I think in a sense that if the character was smoking a cigerette (or some futuristic equivelant tobacco pipe or something) it would allow for several of many interperatations...such as...
-is the Muscle Car and driver waiting on someone to show up for a planned race.
-is the driver having a relaxing smoke against his/her bad @$$ muscle car after winning a race after the other vehicle left.
-the car just outran the police and got away and now the driver is relaxing after the intesity of the chase.
Maybe the character is a robot?
just some food for thought Not trying to convince ya to do it but it was just an idea I had. You know how I feel about this piece of work. It is a greaaattt rendering as it is, and I am glad you "remixed" it up. It really helped tighten things up a bit and bring some more energy to it, not that the original needed any "livening up."
Sorry so long and thank you for your time responding. I know you are probably super busy, as the design/industrial arts world always is!

The racing cercuit has been banned from the world above, but an underground league had risen to keep the sport alive. One team is working there way to the top with an, unlikely crew. Team Future Elements(cool deviant name=cool race team name) is surging forward in a race to beat all odds as well as a few of the authorities.
-just an idea, tweak it as much as you want or dont use it at all, its very cool work, i love the redone back end.

I think it looks excellent. I love the graffiti on the walls and that steaming grate on the side of car is awesome. However, I think the closest column looks a little flat though, I think it needs more contrast. Really nice work.

it was a time when race tracks were banned from human racing enjoyment...This still didnt discourage the tech and racing savy....Still many adjustments had to be made on this car because it broke down in ghettobot town....
( just an idea)
very nice work!
