Description
This next set of muscle type cars were done for a job that needed muscle cars, but they could not be an exact muscle car. The other criteria was to make them somewhat rough. They did not want polished renderings. Now the assignment is all done and published so you can view them now.Related content

Awesome styling exercise. Some of teh styling cues make me think this could be a Studebaker.
Love the dynamic perspective

this is unbelievable,
like... this is one of those things where a bunch of people could pull it off, but there`s somethingggg about it that just makes it 10 times better. like... the lines, even the rough sketchy ones, add so much to it and give it mass character.
i love it
perspective is ill too.
media?
pencil, ink, prisma markers and illustrator overlay? my guess,
later

This was done in my sketch book first with a Hi Tec C fine pen. Then scanned in and sketched in Painter 9. Then I did marker strokes on a piece of paper and scanned them in and placed as a back ground then rendered a little in Photoshop. Very fun technique! Kind of made it up as I went.

have u seen the new Camaro GM's gonna make?
cos they have some concepts that are much better than the one they're gonna make

yep that is usually waht GM does. Most of there cars suck because they can't follow through with there designs. I have never liked GM stuff since the 60's. I mean look at the new Impala,UGH! the new GTO UGH! They suck! I do like the new WTCC concept they got but I am sure they will make that suck as well.

I hate that thing too. I felt it was a wanna be prowler. I really hate GM as you can probably tell, LOL. I do owna 1967 Potaic Bonneville though but like I said they haven't made anything good since the 60's.

Go to my homepage [link] and look at the GT4 photo albums. I might draw one of the photos I took.

You should do it, it would give you some good practice. That is half the key to getting really good is draw, draw, draw. When I was in school we did about 30 pages a week of drawings and usaully about 10 to 15 renderings. It was hard work but it makes you really good. Kep drawing! Thanks for the comments BTW!

Thanks. Should I print out one of the photos and draw from it or go with one out of my head? Also, renderings are just tonal drawings right?(Sorry if that sounded n00bish, but I never hear the term 'rendering' much and sometimes forget its meaning.)

I would suggest leaning some sketching techniques and use those techniques to draw the cars using the pics as refrence.
