Cinderheart is the winner of my latest poll.I was very fond of the drawing and the method I used to shade the eyes; however I am not too proud of the overall coloring. It’s grainy, the colors aren’t blended well, and there are places that could use some shading, especially to add more effect to the fur; I colored in Squirrelflight a lot better. After hours of trying to fix this piece I think I eventually half-assed the rest.
The tabby stripes are awful and cover the parts I actually like. I messed around with the stripes for an hour and they still looked awkward, bulky, and, in general, hideous; Leafpool’s and Squirreflight’s stripes looked a lot better.
I think I am getting better at drawing cats, but it seems my digital coloring has regressed. Hopefully, I’ll get my tablet for Christmas, so I can actually make decent digital art—and backgrounds!
