Description It's finally done ... !

Project that I assigned myself :3
Drawing pictures to depict how I would view different separations of classical music ...

here we have the Nocturne ! I love nocturnes ...
(Next, I might do the Waltz)

Specifically, I was listening to Chopin's Nocturne in F minor op. 55 no. 1 ... my favourite

I tried modifying my art style a little bit Relying less on my lineart, and allowing myself more freedom to edit the lineart (before, I wouldn't touch the lineart after it was done ... bad ...).

Sadly, the grass brushes that I use are not on my laptop, so I had to sort of improvise ... which is why the grass doesn't look brilliant, I apologise

I had lotsa fun drawing the vine plant things ... when the flowers bloom, they fall down on her dress <3

You'll notice that most of the flowers are in the shadows ... it's my way of showing the general mood of nocturnes ... they're usually quite sad and dark, but you'll have the odd one out which is meant for a pretty lady (op. 9 no. 2)

I love it! What else is there to say besides the fact that it's lovely

This is very nice. The face, arms and hair all looks very structured, but the body/dress doesn't read too well. When using a reference you should still sketch out all the limbs with help lines before drawing on the clothes. You might also want to look a little into your perspective. As it is, the background seems very flat. It looks like her head and arms is in one perspective, the background is in another and the dress is caught somewhere inbetween. The overall feeling of the picture is very nice, though. I think you have captured 'nocturne' very well, and it's very good that you are giving yourself more room to play outside of lines. Keep up the good work.

Hi, thanks for the great critique ! I agree with what you say; I need to learn to separate foreground from background properly

Beautiful. The mood is really clear due to all the deep shadows and the sullen look she has. I love the way you colored this. The pose is also incredible good. keep up the good work.

dude this is fantastic!!! i actually really like the way you have drawn her arms (that sounds ridiculous but they are such fiddly things to draw and they are really realistic and good here!!).
also i like the concept! ^^
