148 episodes ! its an old series. the manga started in 1998 and the original anime started in 1999, however it wasnt really faithful to the manga (so im told) and only covered one or two arcs. it was re-adapted in 2011 (which is the one everyone really watches) which is more faithful to the manga and ended this september with 148 episodes. the manga is still ongoing though ! but im lazy and only really watch anime instead of read manga rip
