were right the first time.

Anyway, now that you
mention that, I honestly
don't understand why
you would "copy" those.
I look at your pieces with
simpler shading like:

or the absolutely stunning:

and just fail to see why
you desperately want to
use the disgustingly
sticky and plastic-looking,
more complicated shading.

I guess for me, it's more fun. aaand it makes it look more like a painting lol
simple shading is kinda too.. simple. I haven't mastered it yet, but I prefer going for one with a little more challenge

like a comic is a bad thing?
Honestly, from the skills
you show in your drawings,
it's clearly the other way around.
(Besides the fact that saying
simple shading is too simple
and saying you haven't mastered
it yet is a contradiction.)
Also, simple shaing and
complex shading are,
as bizarre as it may sound,
about as difficult as the other.
Some just are more talented at one.

I dont find it to be bad, I just prefer to go for a different type of shading. It's preference, some people have different tastes haha
and yeah you're right they are contradicting. basically I can do simple shading anytime, but I dont think I've fully grasped how to do it.
