Description A couple more up

Left
Cogsworth
Gender: Male
Age: Young Adult
Species: Unicorn
Cutie Mark: Cogsworth's Cutie Mark
Magic Color: Magical Reference Sheet 2
Talent: Inventing
Job: Part Time Help at his Uncle's Shop
Residence: Yokeshire Falls

Bio:  At first glance one would assume that Cogsworth is a bitter and short-tempered inventor that locks himself in his workshop all day, but a caring individual lies within.  Though Cogsworth is wary to show this side of himself in public.  Cogsworth has a great need to prove himself to other people, but something always goes wrong.
This doesn't stop him though, and he's always one to get back up on his hooves.  Oftentimes he will challenge Eureka to various contests to show which of them is the better inventor, and though his track record isn't the best he's slowly closing in.
When he's not working on his own inventions he's helping out his uncle and his aunt in their repair shop.
Cogsworth lost his horn and his leg to separate accidents.  He can no longer use magic.
Along with that his machines also tend to malfunction a lot, normally with a lot of fire.  Cogsworth can never grow out his hair because it always gets burned off.

Cogsworth has a crush on the local corn farmer’s daughter and the mare who runs the farm itself, Husky.  His attempts are often thwarted by her grandfather, Salty.

Family: Clockwork (Father/MIA), Soft Chyme (Mother/MIA), Tinker Toys (Brother), Cobalt Spark (Aunt), Short Circuit (Uncle), Eureka (Cousin), Lincoln Logs (Cousin), Bright Idea (Cousin)
Cogsworth was originally created by

Right
Eureka
Gender: Female
Age: Young Adult
Species: Earth Pony
Cutie Mark: Eureka's Cutie Mark
Talent: Inventing
Job: Mechanic
Residence: Yokeshire Falls

Bio:  Eureka is an inventor, just like Cogsworth, though she takes a different approach.  Due to having access to a bottled form of magic on a regular basis she likes to use it in her inventions, oftentimes as a power source.  Eureka isn't about making a name for herself, but more for making magical machines to help out other ponies in every day use.
Her biggest flaw is that she is a perfectionist.  While she is brilliant if something doesn't match up to her standards she will work herself to the bone to correct it, even skipping meals and sleep.
Eureka is incredibly driven almost to the point of madness.  While she doesn't act like it most of the time she is extremely protective of her family and when her cousin, Cogsworth, lost his leg in an accident she was the first one to step up and make him a new one.  It often frustrates her when she can't fully fix something or help someone and it actually will bring out a sort of mad-scientist complex in her.

Family: Cobalt Spark (Mother), Short Circuit (Father), Lincoln Logs (Brother), Clockwork (Uncle/MIA), Soft Chyme (Aunt/MIA), Cogsworth (Cousin), Tinker Toys (Cousin), Bright Idea (Cousin)

How they know each other: Family.  Eureka and Cogsworth are cousins and they belong to a LARGE family of mechanics and inventors.  While they don't always see eye to eye on the types of machines they handle they can also be the biggest help to each other.

For the contest: Is Eureka very brave? o3o

Eureka is very intellectual and understands a lot of things having to do with science and magic.  If she understands something then she's very confident of what will happen and therefore will face whatever it is with little fear.  But things she doesn't understand, such as the paranormal, cause her a great deal of unease.
Given her personality though if something like that comes along rather than back down from the fear she will strive to understand it, sometimes going far beyond what should be her limits and getting herself into a mess she can't reverse.  But she's not one to ask for help, so she could seem brave to others, but in truth she'd be terrified.

Well Cogsworth does tend to take his and Eureka's competitions a little more seriously than she does.
