Over time, however, there was a split in the ideals of natural traits versus the supernatural. The magical of the two deemed themselves in higher esteem and ‘pure’ next to the ‘mutts’ of the species. As such, the ‘pure ones’ treated the ‘mutts’ as their inferior. This created a rift between them that continued to grow until conflict broke out.

As it stands, the more animalistic group was outmatched in a few areas, as the purist group had the ability to literally move and control the land around them. However, the first group did have a key advantage against the latter: the element of surprise. No two members of the animalistic group were the same, and were therefore unpredictable with how they fight and what they could do. Within close range, the purists were very easily overpowered by their feral counterparts.

This vulnerability drove the purists to start tampering with Spirits in order to turn the tides to their favor. They began to decipher ways to capture the spirits of lower tiers and command them to do their bidding. After seeing these were fairly successful, they began to advance into dabbling with the spirits of higher caliber.

This was their ultimate mistake.

Intermediate Magic: Chapter 7

After water magic the next step is controlling the earth and the life that grows within. Water is normally used as a catalyst for growth within this realm and is good to help along more earthen magicks.

Apply your previous teachings and produce life from the ground before you. This technique will teach you channeling and controlling your output.
