Dawnweaver History: Part 4

Quickly realizing their mistake as their land was torn apart before their eyes, the surviving purists hastily called a temporary truce with the ferals in an effort to subdue to the anger of the spirits. Now united, the Dawnweavers broke off into different groups.
Those who held magical abilities over water or possessed more aquatic traits gathered water to help put out the raging flames.
Those more bound the the earth dug up break lines to try and put an end in the path of the fires, while the ones who held plant magic rooted down trees to prevent them from falling, and did their best to gain control of the chaotic land.
Those who held abilities over wind kept flames at bay from reaching the more important structures of their society. Their speed was also found useful to keep communication between the other groups.
Those of fire took it upon themselves to enter the flames due to their resistance, and tried to centralize the fire in an effort to make it easier for the others to put it out. They also rescued those trapped in the flames, bringing them to safety.
Another group broke off to the side, becoming more attuned to the angry spirits, and helped quell their emotions.
With everyone working as one unit, they regained control with considerable effort - but alas, the damage to the Grotto was done. The rebuilding of their home had to begin, unified once more.

Advanced Magic: Chapter 15

The second to last element to master is the element of wind. The air is always surrounding us, but is difficult to capture and control. By showing your power over this element, you show ultimate control.

The next section will cover the realm of the spirit and the heart. This is a very difficult section to try, but this will allow control ov-[the rest of the book has been burnt beyond recognition].
