Speedpaint Link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSSGcn…Alright, finally got something good done and up. This one took me a good few hours, but I"m very happy with how it came out. I was testing out a couple things, techniques, and a couple brushes I never use, and this is what came out of it.
I love Luna's designs, all of them. Though I am a little sad that we only got to see her first one for that single episode, but oh well.
I'd love to hear what you guys think and if there's anything wrong that you may have noticed.

How do you create such smooth lines? I watch your speedpainting videos but I still don't know what that is. I don't know what tool you use either.
And what tool do you use to add the shine in her hair?

It's the pen tool in Photoshop CS5.
And I just used a soft brush, smudged it with a rough brush, and then clipping masked it onto the layer after adding a layer filter.

I remember watching the speedpaint of this on YouTube and thinking how amazing it was. Honestly, the way you draw your ears inspired how I draw mine. When I realized that you had a Deviantart, I just knew I had to check it out.
This is truly amazing. I love the colors and shading. The hair and eyes are all gorgeous, and the wings are spectacular and amazingly realistic.
One question though, why is there pink in her hair? Luna doesn't actually have pink in her hair like that. If it's a stylistic preference, I'm sorry for asking but, I was just curious :3

Artistic choice, hehe.
I mean, Luna's mane has the purple outer border to it, so I did that and then just added a little more color to it to give it some texture.
