Although if they have a good backstory and reason for it, I don't really mind OCs being alicorns. Unless they are Mary Sue overpowered some sort of long-lost sibling/cousin of Celestia and Luna that can totally control the sun and moon, and apparently had to run away, and is somehow besties with the mane 6

I agree with that which is weird since my very first OC, made several years ago, was an alicorn related to Luna and Celestia.
I'm changing that, but she's staying an Alicorn.
