I really didn't like the hairstyle they gave her and as such I tamed it down a bit. Once again these are just changes that please me, I'm not saying that hasbro's design is bad and that you're not allowed to like it. (Also whenever I tried drawing it she got elvis hair, so that's also a thing.)
And low quality due to future plans and possible changes.
But yeah, there are quite a few changes here and there on Rainbow.

Well, to be honest, I don't like how Rainbow Power in general looks, really. It's only because of no coat color change, because to me, they're not really Super forms if you don't change their main colors. It's literally the reason why Super Sonic of the Sonic franchise is so popular: because he's golden all over, with his spiked quills complimenting that well.
Anyway... yeah, the design for Super Dash is really simplistic compared to RP Dash, and well, some people prefer simplicity over complexity, really. As for the red eyes, they're supposed to represent the power that she has within. Same for Super Sonic, as he has red eyes as well. And the same goes for the cloud cutie mark, too, as a grey cloud is foreboding of a powerful storm that is coming your way.

I can see what you're saying, but that logic doesn't always have to apply to super forms. (Of course, I'm just a big fan of subtle power ups. Like they come back and nothing's changed about them more than they can COMPLETELY OBLITERATE YOUR ASS IN A MOMENT AND YOU'RE NOT EXPECTING IT BECAUSE HOLY DAMN. But yeah.)
It definitely does have the effect more immediately though if they suddenly go from one color to another, which is probably a good reason most people do it.
I'm not much of a fan of the sonic series, mainly just because as a child I never got the games so I can't say I know much about how popular different things are. I do remember the golden Sonic though.

Well, you'd definitely be surprised at the number of Sonic fans who go, "OMGITZSOOPERSAWNIIKK!!!111" whenever Sonic transforms.
Or the complete opposite when he doesn't show up in a game. "OMGWHERETHEHELLISSOOPERSAWNIK??!!!111" >_> lol XD

One another note. I think the reason they didn't do full on color changes is because of the reason behind the rainbow power itself. While there's no canon explanation it's easy to see that the colors added to each pony are all either expansions on their own color palette (i.e. adding the teal from fluttershy's eyes into her hair) or integrating the colors from all of their friends into themselves. Fluttershy got the purple streaks from Twilight's palette and the pink hooves from Pinkie's. Rarity got the blue and yellow streaks from AJ and RD. Twilight got the yellow streaks from either Fluttershy or AJ. etc. etc.
It's kind of a way to show that they are all connected in a way. Or, at least, that's how I see it. That's why I can't really complain about the rainbow power designs as a concept all that much. I can only tinker with them. :3

Well, at least Rainbow Power is their Elements manifested into a physical form. The forms of Loyalty, Honesty, etc. They still have yet to answer what happens when one uses all the Elements at once and is also backed by friendship.

The one thing I didn't understand about her mane is that she got a whole new style (Which looked awful, by the way) and everyone else basically just got a whole bunch of volume, if anything at all.
I assume it's because her mane was already rainbow, so they couldn't really add any more color to it.
Once again, your re-styling of rainbow power continues to impress me!

Well, I did a poll to see which was the favorite Rainbow Power design, and RD won.
Same for others people's poll, and also the Equestria Daily's one ^^.
And I see RD design (with the Twilight's one) drawn more than the others !
