Bio: Spellscar is a researcher that resides in the Yokeshire Falls library. He's cut himself off from society mainly due to the many magical markings that litter his body. Spellscar tends to be a very thorough pony, and because of this he realized that in order to truly understand the nature of magic he needed to understand both the light side...and the dark side. Unfortunately for him he dove a little too far into the darker magics and got burned.
Due to his many years living alone he tends to be very awkward around other ponies and may come off as a tad creepy. His habit of speaking in a very short and curt manner may not help either.
Spellscar is extremely smart in the ways of magic and he could probably list off an entire encyclopedia of spells. Something he likes to do just for his sake, though, is to give things nicknames like 'the devil spell' or 'that one watery magic'. It can be a little confusing to ponies that aren't Spellscar, but as long as he knows what he's talking about everything's fine.
For his personality when he is talking to somepony and they aren't trying to avoid him he's really a nice guy. He will attempt to crack jokes that fall flat often and is just generally upbeat. During his breaks from research he'll join his niece, Midnight Fairytale, in other parts of the library to keep her company while she sorts the books. He's always up to help someone that enters the library out with whatever they need. Unfortunately not many ponies have been coming by lately.
This could be to rumors that have been going about town that the library's haunted. It's completely not true but Spellscar's presence and the fact that he has a shadow spirit named Beliath as a pet don't really help. There have even been tales among the foals that Spell's a monster that eats young fillies and colts, completely untrue, of course.
When Spell gets angry he can get rather scary. It's a complete turn around from his normally laid back persona and not many ponies get to see it. Of course, when he's just annoyed he gets rather passive aggressive.

When he was younger his parents were very strict. They would enroll his sister Dream Reader and him into the top magic classes they could, no matter what the wishes of the kids were. Spell was always good at magic but Dream struggled and eventually she ran away from all the stress.
On that day Spellscar was devastated. He threw himself into his studies and even though Dream tried to contact him through mail later one he never returned the messages. Even now he's still working on forgiving her and their relationship is very rocky.

Bio: While the library may not have been haunted before, it is now....kind of. Forgotten is the spirit of a pony long gone who's attached herself to Midnight after ş҉̕͟͞p̕͢͞ó̵͜i̷̸͢͟͝l҉͜͟e̴̢̕͠͏ŕ̡̕͞. She has no memory of her life from before, therefore her appearance reflects that through her almost white color and her lack of a cutie mark. Her soul has just been reawakened and she's now on a quest to figure out who she was before and why she's still here.
Overall her attitude could use some work. She can be a bit snobby and uptight at times, being very vain at her core. She doesn't know how to be very civil with others and tends to just come off as plain rude, even when she doesn't mean it. But she's very curious, almost to the point of being nosy.
Forgotten is trying to learn to become better, afterall, these ponies she's accidentally driving away could help her.

-Forgotten Memory is not her original name, but the name she took upon herself when her spirit awoke. Her actual name is ş҉̕͟͞p̕͢͞ó̵͜i̷̸͢͟͝l҉͜͟e̴̢̕͠͏ŕ̡̕͞.
-She dislikes mirrors due to ş҉̕͟͞p̕͢͞ó̵͜i̷̸͢͟͝l҉͜͟e̴̢̕͠͏ŕ̡̕͞ and has a mixed relationship with fine art for the same reason. She always looks upon great paintings with admiration but you can always tell there's a bit of sadness there.
