As is our Love.I've been trying this concept for two years now, and I never got it to work out the way I wanted it to until now. I'm amazingly happy with this photo, and how it turned out. This was also taken at Naples beach, the first time, on a much warmer, sunnier day than the one Brick was taken on.

It's a great shot, but I just think it's too close to the tsunami tragedy to deal with it right now. Maybe it's just me

I know what you mean..
I took/submited this long before that though.. so, you know, it's kinda sad it's just now getting reconized after such a tradgedy. Not that I'm not MORE than thankful for the DD and whatnot. But, just so you know, I have given money towards the relief effort.

this idea was good the first time i saw it but after about 302984023984023984 times its kind of lost its splendor. the composition is uninspiring but the contrast seems ok. there's really nothing remarkable except for the overdone concept. sorry but thats just my two cents. it is a well drawn heart though.

It is a nice photo, lovely metaphore, but did you actually ponder 2 yrs. to come up with this one? or did you photograph for 2 yrs. to finally get this one.. then i'd like to see the whole series. this would perfectly fit a break up card..

Wow! First off congrats on the DD! This is well worth it. The concept is so simple, because it's something that we have all done... so everyone can relate to the image. And it's so powerful the way the wave is washing the sand away. I also love how the wave sits in the framing... it seems soft, yet powerful
